 in response to PittsburghMomma...   That is great. When I was using homeopathy it got rid of my hay fever, used it when I had bronchitis,colds and I didn't get colds much. Yes home cooked meals are great. My mom use to make a batch of food up and freeze meals ahead of time. I remember one time she had a turkey in the oven leaving for work and we were taught to make sure stove was off. So we turned the oven off and we didn't eat till really late. I was just think of mom and old times.
Aidpage is working great as they took care of the problem this morning it was doing it for while but not for long.

 in response to Starshine...   I use chamomile teething drops or the tea for my daughter.She has never had OCT's only homeopathic remedies.I want her to be as healthy as can be so Only natural things for her. I try to feed her all natural too but from time to time, I dont feel like cooking so we have a tv-dinner but that aint too often.(I try my best to cook meals and freeze them ahead so I cant say,"well I dont have time to cook."-lol cuz it takes just as long to thaw a pre made meal, as it does to cook a tv-dinner.)
I hope aidpage works better today, that was so frustrating last night when it wouldnt work properly.

 in response to PittsburghMomma...   Thank you and 3 years is a long wait. I hope your back is better. my back is always out till the end of the night. I love and miss seeing a chiropractor. If she is teething my girlfriend went through that with her little one and found homepathic remedy for teething and she tried it and said it works. Yes the fact that we are still breathing is a good thing!! I had to update my anitvirus so I had to close my windows and let it do it's thing and restart the computer. It kept asking me all day want to restart it now ? NO, when I am ready. One of these days the court will get it right and wishing you outcome of the court date to be a great one. Oh, the little boy next door knows my name and he is so cute. Just two years old and calls out my name and wanted to give me a hug and kiss when I saw him and his mom about 6pm. He is a doll. This morning I was over there and he is not a breakfast kid. So I was trying to coax him to finish his eggs and toast. He loves dinner but not big on breakfast. So the dog around here got his breakfast!

 in response to Starshine...   I hope it happens soon for you, 3 years is a long time to wait. My day has been not as i planned. I woke up and picked up my daughter and threw my back out, so I couldnt walk into town to work on the new place, my migrain have been bad so I couldnt work online like I was wanting to,cuz looking at the pc for to long makes my head hurt worse,made me dizzy and see spots. my daughter is also sick I think she is teething.The court sent me someone elses paper work so Im a bit upset about that cuz I dont know the outcome of my heiring, but none the less we both are still breathing & Im still pregnant so its a good day.

 in response to Starshine...   microgiving is easier if you are an organizition needing help, they ask for tax id, photo id, and so much more. friendsofma.org only helps people that are refered by a doctor,teacher,or caseworker. (last I checked,anyways.)
Lol yeah I told her thanks for the help,she kissed me and said it otay momma.lol I couldnt be mad,shes just to cute.She always is trying to help me.
My area alot of wheelchairs and hospital beds have been being gave away on freecycle.

I will pray God shows you way and I didn't know microgiving.com was hard to use but I know many need help and not all is there to give.  in response to Starshine...   i used my 3 wishes for the month and my one wish I delted cuzmy daughter wrote baby jibberish.lol I had my WUaH page up and walked away to get a drink and came back to my daaughter had posted a "wish",so now I have to wait til February but by then it be to late to ask for help for this. I found a place on my own I can afford with my cash assistance, but I need help getting the assistance to cover my move-in fees and Water deposite. Im praying to find some help, I tried local but we have no funding to help and some places have waiting list for people who need help. I cant make a wish on WUAH so,Im leaving it to God. God led me to this house, so I have fait God will lead me to the moeny I need to get moved in. I have been cleaning it so I can get a rent discount for march. unfortunately I cant apply it to my move-in fee. I wrote a post on here asking for a little help to get moved in,I figured maybe someone can help in some way.

Thank you for the reminder as my manager can accept public housing voucher's here but first I have to get one. He is willing to do it for me but I need the voucher. There are three vacancies here so that is money out the door.
That is what happened to this lady here with her husband and son as they had no transportation to the shelters. Someone at WUAH granted them a tent and I think for one day they got off the streets to live in a motel room as her wish looked like it was granted. Same problem here. I tried to find someone a shelter in Anaheim and couldn't find one. I think I need to find a church that operates as a shelter for the nights.
Oh that is sad that the shelter close to you closed. I mean what are people to do? I will never forget when Louisiana had the disaster there and to see the government not prepared nor the city when people needed shelter and food there was none. We can spend a lot of money elsewhere but not for taking care of the people who need it now and in the future.
How much longer are you going to have to wait for housing?

 in response to Starshine...   Starshine, I know here if you have been on the list more than 2 years your requiered to do a weekly check-in, so they dont bump you off the list. I recommend anyone who has been on the list more than a year to do a weekly or bi weekly check-in, and longer than 2years check-in 2-3 times a week.(Thats if you really need the help.) I check in almost daily because Red cross recommended it because Im homeless, disabled, I have a toddler and Im pregnant.
The shelters here have 6- 18 month waiting lists, they are so full, I have no transportation so I cant get to them anyways. and we had another one close its doors we just dont have the Federal & Goverment funding.(But thats economy.)

I know they can be hard to get into and think one in Orange County someone had to wait till December to get into. She never made it to the shelter no way to get there. I can need to write your government officials.

 in response to PittsburghMomma...   I don't have kids but been on the waiting list for 3 years come March 2011. I know states have closed list and some open. The need is too great. And to find a shelter from the looks of it can be hard too. Best if you can go into shared housing...

 in response to on_my_own2007...   its not a joke, with economy the way it is there just isn't the funding to help all those in need. In Florida and in MANY States and Counties Applications for Section 8 have been shut down do to being unable to help their applicants in a timely manner. Were I am the waiting list is over 2years long and there are no open shelters. So I know first hand how frustraiting it can be. Ive met people who have been waiting 3years on the waiting list.I Have only been on it sense July but in October I was put on the Emergancy list, and January 1st I was put on it again as recomendation of the Red Cross.The only thing the Emergancy list is good for is because Im pregnant with a toddler and homeless I can move to the top of the list sooner, but still I have an estimated 2year wait!

It's very sweet of you to give all the housing authority information. Just so you know it's a joke!! I've been waiting for public housing in Lackawanna county for over a year and section 8 is never open. Just thought people should know. If you are out in the cold and homeless they will send you to a shelter and you can only be there for so many hours a day. Our government lies to us. People need to know that!
